Emoji World
My style is called Emoji World and it is based on Emojis that we use when communicating online.
My design style originated from the vibrant colors of emojis and its simplistic nature in conveying a message.
In the map, a squinting smiley face represents capital cities, and the happy face with smiley eyes denotes cities.
Other emoticons have been used to represent a variety of fun activities that makes us happy, like books for a library or book store.
Or a tent for campgrounds, comedy and tragedy masks for theaters...
Croissants for bakeries and classical greek buildings for museums.

The amount of detail varies at different zoom levels but the minimalistic identity of Emojis is maintained.
